Angus Havers is a classically trained multi talented music composer who works at his broadcast studio in Shepherds Bush in West London. He has composed music for some of the biggest brands and performed on television and at London’s most prestigious venues.
He is an ex head chorister at St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir School where he learned his grounding in classical music. He was a music scholar at Stowe School performing the cello and piano in various orchestras while being head of the choir. He also learnt Jazz bass guitar under Paul Westwood.
He graduated with a Masters degree from the National Film and Television School in 2002 in Composing Music for Film and Television. His animation graduation film ‘Brand Spanking’ won the Royal Television Society Awards and was the only nomination for the student Oscars.
Since graduating he has composed, co-composed or was a music programmer for brand commercials such as Toyota Rav 4, Nestle and Royal Bank of Scotland, feature films such as Charm, Lepel, Fly Fishing (which won the best score at the California Independent Film Festival awards in 2003) and All the Children Are Sleeping and Television Shows such as Linda La Plante’s Trial and Retribution.
He has also helped develop singers into artists – such as Bo Bruce and Leah Weller.
